Tuesday (Feb. 18) is a big day for "Guardians of the Galaxy." The first trailer for the movie will premiere on "Jimmy Kimmel Live," but before that Marvel has released a 15-second teaser that is very revealing.
Outside of the footage shown at Comic-Con and a few photos that have popped up online, not much of "Guardians of the Galaxy" has been seen. That has changed now, though. In addition to seeing some familiar imagery from the latest round of stills, the teaser also offers the first clear look at several characters.
The shot of Gillan's Nebula is the most interesting piece of the teaser. Everyone knew the former "Doctor Who" star shaved her head for the role, but seeing what she actually looks like in costume, with all the little CGI flourishes, is something special.
She comes across as legitimately terrifying, which is great since she's one of the villains of the movie. Nebula works for Thanos, the big bad introduced during the credits of "The Avengers."
Take a look at images of the characters showcased in the teaser below. "Guardians of the Galaxy" is in theaters Aug. 1.
