A.J. McCarron quickly deleted her questionable tweet on Jan. 6, after facing a major backlash from the Twitterverse. After Jameis' fans accused both A.J.'s mom and his girlfriend,
Katherine Webb, who favorited the tweet, of being racist, both women were quick to dismiss the allegations on Twitter.
Dee Dee tweeted the following explanation on Jan. 7:
Any1 that knows our family knows we r far from racist. My tweet was not in anyway meant that way. I sincerely apologize if it offended any1

A.J. hasn't had much luck lately - the quarterback lost the 80th Annual Allstate Sugar Bowl Classic on Jan. 2, and his girlfriend Katherine appeared shocked and saddened as she watched the game from the sidelines.
The former Miss Alabama and A.J.'s family were crushed when the best football team in the country suffered a shocking loss to Oklahoma.
The final score of the highly anticipated game was 45-31 and the Crimson Tide was also incredibly upset over the season ending this way - especially since it was A.J.'s final game.
