Toronto Mayor Rob Ford has declared February 6 Bob Marley Day.
It coincides with Marley's birthday. He was born in 1945.
It's perhaps no surprise that Ford is a Marley Fan. The mayor was seen in a video posted in December dancing to the song "One Love" during a council session.
In his official proclamation of Bob Marley Day, Ford said, "We honour the legacy of Robert (Bob) Nesta Marley, an influential musician, advocate for human rights and international ambassador of peace."
The embattled mayor has been caught on video allegedly smoking crack and having outbursts while allegedly drunk. Ford has been pressured to step down as mayor.
