AMES, Ia. - Police have released the names of three people arrested Tuesday and today in connection to the overnight riot during Veishea, Iowa State University's annual spring celebration. RELATED: Remainder of Veishea 2014 activities canceled
Arrested Tuesday night were:
* Emily Guisinger, 18, at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of Welch Avenue. The ISU sophomore was charged with disorderly conduct.
* Andrew Herkenhoff, 19, at 11:42 p.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of Stanton Avenue. The ISU freshman was charged with disorderly conduct.
Arrested today:
* Abigail Lee, age 21 of Ames. Lee, who is not listed as a student in ISU's directory, was charged with disorderly conduct that occurred at 11:45 p.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of Stanton. She was arrested today.
ISU President Steven Leath announced today that he was cancelling Veishea activities for the remainder of the week. A task force has been formed that will make a recommendation regarding the future of Veishea.
One student was seriously injured during the riot. He is listed in stable condition at a Des Moines hospital.
